The town of Azay le Rideau, the proximity to the town center, the traditional French atmosphere of the hotel, the helpfulness of the staff

Courtyard lovely for dining out. Good food and wines. Breakfast a little disappointing. Room spacious and comfortable but facilities could have been better designed and fitted into the fabric of the building
Breakfast buffet only ok

The hotel was a useful base for enjoying a historic area. Just off restaurants and chateau, Chinon or Tours, Saumur. - Friendly bars and restaurants. - We were offered pastries, eggs, meats, and fruit in the dining room. Revised: We booked this hotel for our trip and found it to be a convenient base for exploring the historic area. It's located near restaurants, chateaux, and cities like Chinon, Tours, and Saumur. the surrounding area also offers friendly bars and restaurants. we enjoyed a breakfast spread that included pastries, eggs, meats, and fruit in the dining room.

Booked a triple; got the Amboise room. On a 7 hotel/9 night Loire trip; this one had the most awesome bathtub ever, a 3-person jacuzzi. Room was cool with exposed roofing timbers, 5 minute slow walk to chateau, restaurants and center of town was out front door.
My wife was mad there was a guy up on the roof working at 0930h. Hey, don't sleep so late, honey! Buildings need maintenance. Come relax in the tub with me!

I stayed in a newly renovated room with a modern design and a practical bathroom featuring a shower, a hairdryer, and bathrobes, it was really nice.

Lovely, typical, French independent hotel in a beautiful village. Manager (owner?) went to great effort to ensure we were comfortable.
Rooms didn't have any coffee/tea making facilities, which I think is a must in today's world and the breakfast was expensive at €13 each, including children. We decided to eat out!!

Very pleasant hotel with welcoming staff. Room was simple but beautifully decorated and very tasteful. Good breakfast - for a french country hotel. Good location. We will return.

Great central location for exploring the town, and it's convenient to visit a nearby café, Au Royal Chocolat, for tea or coffee.

The professional and friendly front desk staff was a big help. On our check-in, he hand carried our bags all the way from the reception up to our rooms on the 3rd floor, careful to avoid dragging the wheels on the dusty gravel courtyard in between. Those bags were not very light either! The room and bed was very comfortable.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Disappointed that our room was on the second floor and no lift available. Whilst we were unable to have dinner on both nights due to the restaurant being full, they recommended an excellent restaurant nearby.
